Community Focus
From concerned parents to health professionals—everyone deserves access to up-to-date health data.
"PopHIVE brings together healthcare and public health data in one accessible platform—something that has been desperately missing—and finally empowers communities to turn information into meaningful action. "
-Chelsea Cipriano, The Common Health Coalition
"The data from PopHIVE will be tremendously useful for modeling teams in calibrating their data and models moving forward. "
-Kaiyuan Sun, Fogarty International Center, National Institutes of Health and RSV ScenarioHub
"PopHIVE is exactly the kind of forward-thinking platform public health needs right now, by weaving together real-time data from hospitals, labs, and communities, it turns scattered numbers into clear insights—helping clinicians, policymakers, and residents act quickly, work to cut costs, and improve health for all. "
-Dr. Manisha Juthani, Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Public Health

7 different datasets looking at respiratory disease
Aligning datasets and adding insights
By joining many datasets together—such as health care data, CDC data, wastewater data, Google search trends data, and more—you can improve your visibility of disease spread and gain insights. By transparently displaying different data in the same place, you can gain insights about where data sets align and where they differ. We hope these data visualizations build trust, encourage efficiency, and democratize knowledge about health.
3 is more than one
Pairing National Immunization Survey Data, Epic Cosmos data and vaccine registry data
Immunization statistics vary, depending on whether they come from surveys, medical records, immunization registries, or a combination of sources. Thus, patterns of immunization look different across the nation. Explore the impact of insurance, location, and data source, and draw your own conclusions about what these different data sources tell us about immunizations across the country as we build out this data display.
The power for healthcare data for all
Unleashing the power of healthcare data to address chronic conditions.
Traditionally, the only data available to understand chronic conditions for most public health departments and the public is survey data about health. These surveys are important, but they are often many years old and depend on people accurately self-reporting their chronic conditions. We are putting the ‘epi’ in “epic” through comparing survey data to Epic Cosmos data. As we partner with health care and public health, we provide more updated insights to allow us all to plan for a healthier future.
